Shinto is a hibachi and sushi restaurant located in Strongsville, OH. This is one of the better sushi places in this area and their sushi is to die for! They have many options to choose from, and all of their specialty roles are amazing. I highly suggest the Jimmy #30 sushi roll, which has shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado and cream cheese and is fried in a ton of goodness. Another favorite of mine is the Miso Surprise Roll, it has shrimp tempura, cream cheese, green onions, crab, and it is drizzled with a sweet miso sauce. I love the sauce, it’s so good! As for their hibachi meals, I do suggest ordering hibachi straight from the kitchen as a meal instead of the hibachi grills; the food is too greasy and just not as good from the hibachi grills in the dining room. You will definitely notice a difference from the two, and the nice thing is you can order hibachi from the bar. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

I also love the ambiance at Shinto, there is always really good music on along with great customer service! I haven’t had a bad experience with customer service at Shinto, and can always expect to be treated really good here. The drinks are also pretty creative and good as well. The nice thing about this restaurant is they have weekday specials, my favorite being half off sushi Tuesdays and half off bottles of wine Thursdays! As for the hibachi chefs, I don’t think they do a great job of providing entertainment, which is a disappointment when you want to laugh and have fun for whatever reason you are there. The best chef at Shinto is probably Mike Jones, but he is quite popular as a lot of people request him.

Overall, I would definitely say Shinto is one of the better restaurants in the Strongsville/Cleveland area, and worth trying. Although the hibachi is a bit of a disappointment, the sushi, ambiance, drinks, and customer service definitely make up for it.
