Lately I have been on the search for more natural and/or organic beauty products, and have been trying more and more LUSH products. Click here to read about LUSH and why it’s such a great brand for everyone, especially those looking for organic or cruelty-free products.
Before trying LUSH Celestial Moisturizer, I was using Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Moisturizer. I liked it, but it wasn’t amazing. Of course, being $13 I wanted to use the entire jar until I tried something else. It didn’t break me out, but it didn’t moisturize my skin much either, not as much as I wanted it to. My recent addiction with LUSH Cosmetics made me want to try one of their moisturizers, specifically one for sensitive skin. The employees at every LUSH store I have been to have been very helpful. Apparently, this is one of the best moisturizers at LUSH for sensitive skin, so I wanted to try it.
I have been using it for two weeks and my complexion has been a lot better. What is nice about this product is a little goes a long way, literally a dab of the cream will moisturize my entire face. After two weeks, the amount in my jar has barely changed. This is a great perk considering the product is $25.95 for 1.5 oz., and should last more than three months. I also had some acne on my cheek when buying this product, and within two days it is gone. I don’t know if it’s specifically the moisturizer that helped, or the face bar that I bought with it; maybe it’s a combination of both.
A negative to this moisturizer, is the fact that it will make you look oily if you use too much at once. A major ingredient in LUSH Celestial Moisturizer is cocoa butter, so as you’d imagine it may make you greasy. There have been days where I have applied too much of this moisturizer and my face looked like it was sweating. If you apply the right amount, you cannot go wrong, as the perfect amount will do wonders for your skin.

“Redness. Stinging. Irritation. Sound familiar? Having sensitive skin can be incredibly frustrating (even painful!), which is why we invented our most gentle moisturizer, Celestial. With its creamy cocoa butter base, Celestial effectively moisturizes without irritating troubled skin. We blend vanilla water to help the skin retain its moisture with hydrating almond milk and fresh dove orchid extract to keep delicate skin in soft, glowing condition. Celestial also doubles as a fantastically softening night cream for all skin types.”
Ingredients in this moisturizer include (most to least):
Vanilla Water (Vanilla planifolia) , Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis) , Almond Milk (Prunus dulcis) , Glycerine , Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao) , Fragrance , Fresh Dove Orchid Extract (Dendrobium) , Cetearyl Alcohol , Stearic Acid , Triethanolamine , Methylparaben , Propylparaben . *Occurs naturally in essential oils
There is also another moisturizer at LUSH that an employee referred me too, called Imperials, which I have yet to try. I think I like this product too much to switch to anything else!
